I don’t typically get thrilled about archaeological finds, but this one had me awestruck. A substantial feline figure carved into an arid hillside much more than 2,000 years ago has been discovered in southern Peru. The geoglyph steps 121 feet across and is part of the Nazca Lines, a collection of hundreds of mysterious artworks etched onto a plateau 250 miles south of Lima. For the story of how the huge cat was discovered, check out SCNOW.com.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the conscious cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we reflected on the significance of not giving up, on Monday, we told you about Holistic Actions, a site chock full of resources to help you take better care of your cats, on Tuesday, we evaluated the Lil Paws 5-in-1 carrier, on Wednesday, I shared a memory of Ruby, and on Friday, we evaluated the young adult novel Catalyst. and don’t forget to enter our giveaway to win a Sleepypod Air carrier!

Today’s video of a kitten discovering his paws is sure to bring a smile – enjoy!

Have a terrific weekend!

Is this an April Fools joke? Wait, it’s October. The site may be a scam. It’s all blocked out unless you take a “survey”. just seems phishy to me.

Your cat may be exhibiting play or petting aggression. enter either term in the search bar at the top of our site, and you’ll find much more information.

I saw this discovery on Facebook last night and was impressed by it. It just goes to show cats really are the best and people have loved them forever.
